Bhawal National Park Bhawal National Park is in Gazipur district 45 km far from Dhaka in the north side. It is a vast (1,600 acres) national recreational forest with Picnic spots; jangles of Gajari trees surrounded by a beautiful lake .you can enjoy boats horse riding here. Turag River

Turag River The Turag River is the upper tributary of the Buriganga, a major river in Bangladesh. The Turag originates from the Bangshi River, the latter an important tributary of the Dhaleshwari River, flows through Gazipur and joins the Buriganga at Mirpur in Dhaka District. It is navigable by boat all year round.
Tabligh Jam'at, a popular Islamic movement originating in South Asia, initially took hold in Dhaka in the 1950s as Maulana Abdul Aziz and other leaders set up the regional headquarters at the Kakrail Mosque near Ramna Park.

Balu River

Balu River Balu River runs mainly through the extensive swamps of Beel Belai and those east of Dhaka, joining the shitalakshya near demra. It has a narrow connection through the Suti Nadi near kapasia with the Shitalakshya, and also by way of the Tongi Khal with the turag; there is also a link with the Shitalakshya near kaliganj. Although it carries floodwater from the Shitalakshya and the Turag during the flood season, the Balu is of importance mainly for local drainage and access by small boats.

Bishwa Ijtema

Bishwa Ijtema The Bishwa Ijtema, (Banglaor (World Congregation) is an annual Tablighi Jamaat Islamic movement congregation held at Tongi, Bangladesh by the river Turag. The event focuses on prayers and meditation and does not allow political discussion.
The first meeting was reportedly held in 1946 (although various sources indicate other dates for this) and continues to be organized by the Bangladesh Tablighi Jamaat. It lasts three days and is attended by over two million Muslims, making it the second largest congregation after the Hajj to Mecca.

Sultanpur Mosque

Sultanpur Mosque Sultanpur Mosque (Ghazipur) is located in the village of Sultanpur on the right bank of the old Brahmaputra under Kapasia upazila in Gazipur district. It is about 2km southwest of sadi mosque, situated at Egarosindhur. The mosque was in utter ruins but the local people have repaired it completely. However, the repairs have made the mosque lose much of its original features.

Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Agricultural University Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Agricultural University the second agricultural university of Bangladesh, located at Salna in the district of Gazipur.
