Bulbul Lalitakala Academy Bulbul Lalitakala Academy an institution of fine arts established in Dhaka on 17 May 1955 commemorating bulbul chowdhury and his role in popularising dance among conservative Bengali Muslims. It is also known as BAFA (Bulbul Academy for Fine Arts).
The academy offers instruction in, and conducts research on, song, music, dance, drama, painting and sculpture. It is primarily an academic institution.

Mitford Hospital

Mitford Hospital Mitford Hospital established in 1820, named after Sir Robert Mitford, Collector of Dhaka and also a long serving judge of the Provincial Court of Appeal. During his time there was an alarming cholera epidemic and at the height of it 150 to 200 persons died daily in Dhaka. Medical facilities were inadequate. Sir Mitford was distressed to see the suffering of the people.

Dhanmondi Lake Dhanmondi Lake a prominent depression within Dhaka metropolitan area. It is situated in the middle of dhaka City (about 2343'N latitude and 9026'E longitude). It lies within the vicinity of Dhanmondi residential area. Originally Dhanmondi Lake was an abandoned channel of the 'Karwan Bazar Nadi' ('Karwan Bazar' is commonly spelled and pronounced as 'Kawran Bazar'), previously known as the 'Carevan River', whose alignment was possibly along Begunbari Khal-Green Road-Kalabagan-Dhanmondi Lake to the turag river.

Sher-e-Bangla Agricultural University (SBAU) Sher-e-Bangla Agricultural University (SBAU) established in July 2001 as per the law enacted by the National Assembly through an Ordinance (Presidential Order No. 16 of 2001), redesignating the former Bangladesh Agricultural Institute (BAI) located at Sher-e-Bangla Nagar, Dhaka. BAI was originally established in 1938 as the Bengal Agricultural Institute in the then Monipuri Farm under the university of dhaka. In the beginning, after completing 2 year BSc courses at the University of Dhaka, students who enrolled at Bengal Agricultural Institute (subsequently, Bangladesh Agricultural Institute) had to undertake practical training courses on Crop Production, Soil Science, Horticulture, Plant Pathology, Entomology, etc.

Badhya Bhumi Smriti Soudha

Badhya Bhumi Smriti Soudha Badhya Bhumi Smriti Soudha (Slaughter-place Memorial) was built to commemorate the death of some of the nation's finest intellectuals and others, who were killed at the very end of the war of liberation (1971) by the Pakistani army with the help of their collaborators at Rayer Bazar brick field of Dhaka. The memorial edifice was constructed at the place where the mass killing took place. Among the people killed indiscriminately were educationists, physicians, journalists, writers, film directors and other professionals.
In 1993 Government of Bangladesh decided to erect a memorial at the site of this barbarous act.

Viquarunnesa Noon School and College

Viquarunnesa Noon School and College Viquarunnesa Noon School and College established in 1952 at Baily Road, Dhaka by Viquarunnesa Noon, wife of Firoz Khan Noon, the Governor of East Pakistan. It started as a preparatory school with only a few children. But it expanded very soon to a high school and in 1956, prepared students for Senior Cambridge Examination.
The school earned reputation for quality education and excellent results in public examinations.
