Dhanmondi Lake

Dhanmondi Lake Dhanmondi Lake a prominent depression within Dhaka metropolitan area. It is situated in the middle of dhaka City (about 23░43'N latitude and 90░26'E longitude). It lies within the vicinity of Dhanmondi residential area. Originally Dhanmondi Lake was an abandoned channel of the 'Karwan Bazar Nadi' ('Karwan Bazar' is commonly spelled and pronounced as 'Kawran Bazar'), previously known as the 'Carevan River', whose alignment was possibly along Begunbari Khal-Green Road-Kalabagan-Dhanmondi Lake to the turag river.

Bahadur Shah Park

Bahadur Shah Park Bahadur Shah Park is a park in Old Dhaka, Bangladesh. It is now a war memorial and a tribute to the martyrs who fought in the first liberation war or the First War of Independence against British rule. It was here that the conflicting Sepoys and their civil compatriots were publicly hanged.
It was built in 1858 at the initiative of Nawab Khwaja Abdul Ghani, in the Sadarghat area, on the ruins of an old building, called Antaghar, a club house of the Armenians, then living in a large number in the neighbourhood.

Bulbul Lalitakala Academy Bulbul Lalitakala Academy an institution of fine arts established in Dhaka on 17 May 1955 commemorating bulbul chowdhury and his role in popularising dance among conservative Bengali Muslims. It is also known as BAFA (Bulbul Academy for Fine Arts).
The academy offers instruction in, and conducts research on, song, music, dance, drama, painting and sculpture. It is primarily an academic institution.

Mitford Hospital Mitford Hospital established in 1820, named after Sir Robert Mitford, Collector of Dhaka and also a long serving judge of the Provincial Court of Appeal. During his time there was an alarming cholera epidemic and at the height of it 150 to 200 persons died daily in Dhaka. Medical facilities were inadequate.
